You love being a nurse but you feel exploited, exhausted, and lost. You aren’t meant to do life or nursing alone.
I was there. In 2014, I was burned out and I almost left nursing all together. But through mentorship, self-discovery, and taking a pause it became crystal clear to me…it wasn’t nursing or about me being in some way deficient. It was my work environment and the system we are working in. It was my lack of healthy boundaries. It was fear of disappointing others if I changed my path. But hey, at the end of the day I had more control than I thought. I was capable of finding my way in nursing AND being happy…and so are you.
So spoiler alert…
I didn’t leave.
I decided instead to step into my power and not let fear take over. I did the inner work to become more confident and self-aware; to know what my goals are and what truly reignites my passion within nursing. And I did the outer work, set the healthy boundaries, self-advocated, cultivated healthy routines, and rituals to support my day-to-day.
And you know what happened?
I COMPLETELY TRANSFORMED. I GOT MY LIFE BACK.
The burnout dissipated and I started loving nursing again. I stopped feeling resentful every day. Do I have bad days? Sure. But they no longer define me.
